Elephant Walk Tented Camp

Set on the banks of the Crocodile River, the camp offers guests a front-row seat to one of the park’s most wildlife-rich areas, where animals frequently gather along the river throughout the day. From the camp’s viewing areas, guests can also enjoy iconic views of the historic Crocodile Bridge Gate, watching vehicles cross the bridge as wildlife moves freely along the riverbanks below.

Elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of plains game are often seen from the camp, while predators are also regularly spotted in the area. The region is home to a strong resident lion pride, and sightings of other predators such as leopard and hyena are always possible, making every safari an exciting and unpredictable experience.

The camp features a collection of spacious safari-style canvas tents set on raised wooden decks, designed to combine comfort with an authentic bush atmosphere. Each tent includes an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, comfortable beds, and a private veranda where guests can relax and take in the natural surroundings. Tents offer either peaceful river views or views over the surrounding bushveld, allowing guests to fully enjoy the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

The central lodge area provides a welcoming space to relax between safari activities, with tranquil gardens, comfortable lounge areas, and a swimming pool where guests can cool off during the warm Lowveld afternoons. The viewing areas overlooking the Crocodile River are perfect for quietly watching wildlife activity unfold throughout the day.

Your stay includes early morning tea or coffee with fresh pastries before heading out on safari, followed by a hearty brunch on return to camp. In the afternoon, guests can enjoy tea before their next adventure, and the day concludes with a delicious dinner. On selected evenings, guests can enjoy a memorable boma dinner under the African stars, where meals are served around the fire in a traditional open-air setting that captures the magic of the bush at night.

Safari activities are a highlight of the Elephant Walk experience. Guests can choose between a morning or afternoon guided safari into Kruger National Park each day, or enjoy both for a more immersive wildlife experience. Guided bush walks can also be arranged, offering a unique opportunity to explore the smaller details of the bush and learn more about the fascinating ecosystems of the region.
