What you can do
Bush walking safari
Experience the African bush on foot with one of our qualified field guides, trained to the highest professional standards. A walking safari offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature, uncovering the smaller details of the wilderness while learning about the surrounding flora and fauna. Participation is subject to the guide’s discretion, with group size and minimum age determined by safety considerations and current conditions.
Cultural Excursion
Dixie is a small village situated close to the Gowrie Gate entrance of the Sabi Sand. Through our close associations with our neighbours and our love of the area in general, we have cultivated a unique partnership with the Dixie community in order to contribute to their general upliftment. The Cultural Village Excursion, headed by a professional field guide affords the opportunity to slip unnoticed into a day in the life of the locals whilst tapping into the optimism and energy that is so much part of this little village’s charm. The transfer will be in a Chitwa Chitwa open vehicle and will take about two hours from the time of departure from the lodge.
Pizza Truck stop
One of Chitwa Chitwa's most unique dining experiences is our custom-built Pizza Truck. Designed and handcrafted by the owners, this one-of-a-kind mobile kitchen was created by transforming a retired safari vehicle into a fully functional wood-fired pizza truck. Blending creativity, craftsmanship, and the spirit of adventure, the Chitwa Pizza Truck is a signature experience that celebrates the lodge’s passion for creating memorable moments anywhere in the bush.
