The Maasai people are a fascinating and beautiful nomadic tribe who are proud of their traditions and heritage. Their passion and love for the land and wildlife is notable, they are the true spirit of the Masai Mara and love to show our guests their way of life. Offbeat Ndoto works very closely with our local community, visiting these villages is a morning or afternoon well spent. There is a charge of $30 per person which goes directly towards conserving their magical way of life. We are eco-friendly camp powered by the sun, we use no plastic water bottles, source as much as we possibly can locally, and our furniture is made from reclaimed wood.

The main reason for coming to the Mara is to see her world famous wildlife. From the big cat populations, the wildebeest migration and so much more. In our custom designed Land Cruisers your Maasai guide will help source photos you will want to show to everyone you know.

Experience the Mara from foot - you will be escorted by a local Masai guide who grew up on the land herding cattle and knows it intimately. The small five and other interesting facts will be revealed that you often miss in the vehicle. Often an excuse to burn off some calories from the delicious food in camp!
