Angama Safari Camp Guest Tent

Not far from the Angama Safari Camp site, guests can float away on a Hot-air balloon Safari, enjoying the landscapes of the Mara and its resident wildlife from the sky.

Every day is tailored to guest preferences — with meals either enjoyed in the camp, or out on safari under a lone tree in the middle of nowhere. Breakfast, lunch and sundowners can all be served picnic-style, surrounded by the endless plains of the Maasai Mara.

For those wanting to stretch their legs, a hiking safari up the Oloololo Escarpment is an exciting and challenging way to explore this historically significant geographical feature. As you ascend, expert rangers from the Mara Conservancy will not only ensure your safety but also share some stories of their many exciting hours out in the Mara Triangle. Panoramic views and a light refreshment awaits you at the top, making the steep climb well worth the effort and something very few guests to the Mara Triangle get to experience.

Extraordinary wildlife experiences right on your doorstep with the Maasai Mara yours to explore. The area has abundant resident wildlife — prides of lion, cheetah, leopard, large elephant herds, buffalo and plenty of plains game. During the Migration season, the Camp is right in the heart of the action, surrounded by the Mega Herds. With camp in such close proximity, you can return at anytime for a bite to eat, a siesta, or a change of clothes, without having to exit the park. Staying inside the Mara means two hours of extra game drives — before sunrise and just after sunset — times when the animals are most active

Angama Mara is one and a half hour's drive away, depending on camp location. Guests staying at Angama Safari Camp are welcome to visit the lodge and enjoy some of the experiences on offer, including lunch in the Shamba or on the Guest Area deck, picnics on the Out of Africa kopje, visits to the Safari Shop and Beading Studio or an afternoon at the Pavilion, making use of the Fitness Room and Swimming Pool.
