Arrival in Maun and Light Aircraft Charter to Duba Explorers Camp

Upon arrival in Maun, you will be met by one of our representatives who will assist you with the check-in for your air transfer to Duba Explorers Camp. Depending on your arrival time at the camp, you may enjoy lunch and familiarise yourself with the camp and its facilities before heading out on your first game drive. Duba Explorers Camp is a wildlife connoisseur’s getaway, situated on an island in the northern reaches of the 33,000-hectare Duba concession and surrounded by the pristine Okavango Delta. This intimate camp consists of five, stylishly furnished, expedition-style tents of light airy canvas on slightly raised decking, each with views of the surrounding floodplain. You will spend the next 4 nights at Duba Explorers. All your meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (excluding imported and premium spirits) as well as game activities are included in your stay.

Days 2–4

Exploring the Duba Plains Concession, Okavango Delta

During the next few days, you will have many opportunities to explore all that the Okavango Delta has to offer. You'll enjoy guided walks, mokoro, and boating opportunities (dependent on the current water level) or early morning and late afternoon wildlife drives and revel in one of the most stunning and varied wildlife areas in the world. Duba Explorers Camp prides itself on its extraordinary wildlife experiences. You'll enjoy regular sightings of a diverse range of species, including lechwe, kudu, tsessebe, and giraffes. Herds of elephants and buffalos move around the camp and hippos trudge through the swamps creating their channels and paths daily. Lions, leopards, and even African wild (painted) dogs are spotted regularly. Birds abound, and the area is a bird-watcher’s paradise.

Light Aircraft Transfer Duba Explorers Camp to Selinda Explorers Camp

Depending on your scheduled flight time, you may have time for one last game activity at Duba Explorers Camp. After breakfast, a light aircraft charter will transfer you to your next destination —Selinda Explorers Camp. Selinda Explorers Camp is located on a remote stretch of the Selinda Spillway, in the heart of the private 130,000-hectare Selinda Reserve. This intimate camp is designed in the style of the early explorers and its magic lies in its luxurious expedition-style atmosphere. You'll settle into your tented room before heading out on a first-game activity in the Selinda Reserve. The four canvas guest tents are raised just slightly off the ground, connecting guests with the pulse of the wild. The atmosphere of the camp is one of bush elegance with a relaxed bohemian style.

Wildlife Viewing in the Selinda Reserve, Okavango Delta

During these three days, you will have many opportunities to explore the many facets of the Selinda Reserve. Wildlife viewing at Selinda Explorers Camp is focused on guided walks, allowing you to take in the smaller things often missed from a vehicle as well as game drives. The Selinda Reserve is a wildlife hotspot home to herds of elephants and buffalos with lions, leopards, African wild dogs, and sable and roan antelope seen on a regular basis. In between your activities, you will have time to relax back at the camp amidst the tranquility of the African bush.

Light Aircraft Transfer Selinda Explores Camp to Maun

Your safari ends today and depending on your scheduled air transfer you may have one last opportunity for one last game drive. A light aircraft transfer will fly you back to Maun for your onward journey.
