After settling in, head out for an afternoon game drive where Amboseli’s signature features come to life — free-roaming elephant herds, large hippo pools, and open savannahs dotted with wildlife. The clear afternoon light often reveals breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 2

Full-day game drives

Enjoy a full day inside Amboseli, beginning with an early morning game drive when the animals are most active. This is the best time to witness elephants marching across the plains, spot predators returning from the night hunt, and capture crisp views of Kilimanjaro before the clouds settle. After breakfast, continue exploring different sections of the park — from the swamp areas rich with birdlife and hippos to the dry lakebeds that attract grazing herds. In the afternoon, you may relax at the lodge or venture out again for another game drive focusing on lions, cheetahs, and Amboseli’s remarkable scenery.

Day 3

Amboseli - Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, begin your journey to the Great Rift Valley, descending toward Lake Naivasha. The drive offers dramatic views of escarpments and volcanic formations. Arrive at your Naivasha lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Lake Naivasha, known for its calm waters, floating birdlife, and pods of hippos resting near the shoreline. The lake’s serenity and cool breezes provide a refreshing contrast to the savannah. Optional activities include a nature walk on Crescent Island (extra cost), where you can walk among zebras, giraffes, and gazelles in a predator-free environment.

Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru National Park

Enjoy breakfast before taking the short drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, head straight for a game drive through the forested areas and along the shores of the lake. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its strong rhino population — both black and white — making it one of the best places in Kenya to see them up close. You’ll also encounter Rothschild's giraffes, buffalos, lions, waterbucks, and vibrant bird species along the alkaline shores. In the afternoon, drive to the viewpoints atop Baboon Cliff or Out of Africa Lookout for panoramic views over the lake and the surrounding Rift Valley escarpments. Settle into your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5

Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, set out toward the world-famous Masai Mara. The journey leads through rolling highlands and Maasai countryside before descending into the expansive Mara ecosystem. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch. After settling in, head out for an afternoon game drive, introducing you to the Mara’s rich wildlife; elephants, giraffes, big cats, antelopes, and the sweeping open plains that make the park legendary. The golden evening light in the Mara is ideal for photography and sightings of predators preparing for their night activities.

Day 6

Masai Mara National Reserve

Spend the entire day exploring the Mara, giving you the opportunity to cover multiple areas of the reserve. The day begins with an early morning game drive when lions, cheetahs, and leopards are most visible. The Mara’s landscape is a continuous mix of open grassland, riverine forests, and acacia woodlands, providing habitats for diverse wildlife. After a picnic lunch by the Mara River or under a shaded acacia tree, continue your search for resident wildlife — large elephant herds, towers of giraffes, buffalo, and countless plains game. Optional activities include a sunrise hot-air balloon safari (extra cost), followed by a champagne-style bush breakfast. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7

Masai Mara - Nairobi
