Your 4-day adventure will be a series of game drives across the rolling hills of the Masai Mara, in search of big cats and herds of roaming wildlife. Masai Mara National Reserve is known for its incredible density and variety of wildlife. Here, you’ll find all of Africa’s Big Five— including an outstanding population of lions. The park is an undulating savannah of broad green horizons accented with iconic acacia trees.

Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up either at the airport or at your hotel by a representative, then dropped off at Wilson Airport for your one-hour flight to the Mara. Once you arrive, your guide will be waiting to take you to the camp with a short game drive en route. You will check in at the camp, and lunch will be served. The afternoon game drive will follow lunch. The iconic Mara is home to a variety of animal and bird species, so you are in for a treat. Once the game drive ends, you will return to the camp for dinner, and you will stay overnight at the Sarova Mara Camp.

You'll begin your day with a hearty early morning breakfast, energizing you for an exhilarating full day of wildlife viewing in one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife destinations. The Masai Mara National Reserve is home to the Big Five and is renowned as one of the most dynamic wildlife ecosystems on the planet. It boasts the highest concentration of large mammals and a diverse range of ecosystems, from savannahs and woodlands to riverine forests, making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts. You'll enjoy your picnic lunch along the Mara River or the Masai Mara Savannah. Depending on the season, you might also get the chance to witness the spectacular Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing pastures, typically occurring from July to October. Later, you'll return for dinner and spend the night at the Sarova Mara Camp.

You'll enjoy another exhilarating day of wildlife viewing drives in the stunning Masai Mara. You can choose between full-day game drives, where you will immerse yourself in the vibrant ecosystem from sunrise to sunset, or half-day drives in the morning and afternoon. This flexible schedule allows you to take breaks and relax at the lodge or camp, where you can enjoy amenities such as a refreshing swim, a spa treatment, or a leisurely meal. For an unforgettable adventure, consider taking a hot air balloon ride at dawn. This awe-inspiring experience allows you to float gracefully over the vast Masai Mara plains, offering breathtaking views of the savannah and the wildlife below as the sun rises (please note that this activity comes at an additional cost). At the end of the day, you will enjoy a delicious dinner and unwind in the comfort of the Sarova Mara Camp, where you can reflect on the day's adventures under a starlit sky.

04Day 4

Day 4

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

You'll enjoy a delicious breakfast, then check out. Afterward, you'll embark on a visit to a Masai village, where you can immerse yourself in the rich culture and traditions of the Masai people. This experience includes the opportunity to engage in traditional singing and dancing, allowing you to connect with the community and gain a deeper understanding of their way of life. Later, you'll embark on your journey back to the vibrant city of Nairobi, a 5-6 hour drive, arriving in time for lunch. Afterward, the driver will drop you off at the airport for your onward flight back home or at your Nairobi Hotel. Note: We're flexible and can arrange a flight back to Nairobi instead of driving 5-6 hours, at an extra cost.
