Nairobi to Maasai Mara - Urban to the Savannah

Our team will pick you up from your hotel or from the airport. We will then start our journey to the Maasai Mara, slowly escaping the bustling Nairobi city life and entering the escarpment and the savannah land! We will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy scenic views of the valley. Later, we will continue our journey to the Maasai Mara, where we will arrive early enough for check-in and grabbing of lunch at the Sarova Mara Camp. After freshening up, you will have an afternoon welcome tour of the iconic Maasai Mara - an introduction to what is in store for you! We will return to the camp for your evening meal with great expectations of what is coming!

02Day 2

Day 2

Hot Air Balloon Experience & Full Day Maasai Mara Adventure

Your Maasai Mara adventure begins at 5:00 AM with a delicious breakfast, fueling up for an unforgettable day, and then we embark on a thrilling game adventure or starting with the hot air balloon (45 - 1hr), then back for breakfast before a full day game drive: Hot Air Balloon: Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Maasai Mara from above, thrilling hot air balloon as you drift gently over the savannah. Hunt for the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino in their natural habitat. Cruise along the Mara River: spot crocodiles basking in the sun, hippos lounging in the water, and maybe even witness the epic wildebeest migration! Birdwatcher's Paradise: Keep your eyes peeled for over 400 species of birds, from majestic eagles to colorful lilac-breasted rollers. Enjoy our packed lunch in the wilderness and later dig into a sumptuous evening meal, enjoying local and international cuisine at Sarova Mara Camp.

03Day 3

Day 3

Maasai Village and Lake Nakuru Game Park Adventure

After an early breakfast, we pass by the Maasai Village for an exciting cultural adventure where you will experience the vibrant culture of Kenya’s indigenous community. You’ll dance with Maasai and hopefully get a chance to create your own ornaments. We will then continue with our journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. We will check in at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, have our lunch, and proceed for an afternoon game drive and enjoy viewing the flamingos, tree-climbing lions, endangered Rothschild's giraffes, and the park's thriving populations of both black and white rhinos. We will later have dinner and gather around a bonfire to share stories, make new friends, and enjoy the star-studded night sky. Accommodation: Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.

04Day 4

Day 4

Lake Naivasha Boat Ride and Crescent Island Adventure

After having breakfast at the heart of Lake Nakuru National Park, we will embark on our journey to Lake Naivasha. At Lake Naivasha, we will take a boat for around 15-20 minutes to Crescent Island. Enjoy the view of hippos, fish eagles, pelicans, among others. Later, you’ll have a guided 2-hour walk at the Crescent Island, where you will get to see up-close giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and birds – it's like a mini savanna on foot. No predators, so it's safe and relaxed. Return by boat and have lunch either at the hotel or along the way as we embark on the journey back to Nairobi to your hotel or airport.
