Day 1

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru - Arrival and afternoon game drive

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley as you make your way to Lake Nakuru National Park (approx. 3-4 hours). Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, where you can check in and enjoy a refreshing welcome drink. After a delicious lunch at the lodge, head out for your first game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is famous for its abundant wildlife, including flamingos along the lake’s shores, rhinos, lions, and a variety of bird species. The park's compact size makes it ideal for an afternoon safari, and you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Baboon Cliff for panoramic views of the lake and surrounding landscapes. After the game drive, return to Sarova Lion Hill Lodge for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in this tranquil setting.

02Day 2

Day 2

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara – Arrival and first game drive

Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge before driving to Masai Mara National Reserve (approx. 5-6 hours). The journey will take you through beautiful landscapes, offering plenty of scenic views of the Great Rift Valley as you head toward one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves. Upon arrival at Sarova Mara Game Camp, you’ll check in and have time to relax before lunch. After lunch, you’ll set off on your first game drive in Masai Mara. The Mara is renowned for its rich wildlife, including the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and rhinos). Depending on the season, you may even witness the incredible great wildebeest migration. As you explore the park’s expansive plains, you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of animals, including cheetahs, giraffes and wildebeests. After the afternoon game drive, return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay in a luxurious tented room, offering a comfortable and authentic bush experience.

Day 3

Full Day in Masai Mara – Game drives and relaxation

Wake up early for an exciting morning game drive in Masai Mara, where wildlife is most active. You’ll have the chance to see predators, such as lions, on the hunt. The Mara’s open grasslands are perfect for tracking these magnificent animals as they stalk their prey. Your expert guide will also take you to prime locations for the best game viewing. After a thrilling morning of wildlife encounters, return to Sarova Mara Game Camp for a delicious breakfast. The midday is yours to relax and unwind. You can enjoy a dip in the pool, take a walk around the camp, or simply relax on your private verandah. In the afternoon, embark on another exciting game drive to explore more of the Mara’s vast landscapes. Keep an eye out for herds of elephants, giraffes, and large prides of lions lounging. If you're visiting during the migration, you might witness the dramatic Mara River crossings. After your game drive, return to the camp for dinner and your second overnight stay at Sarova Camp.

Day 4

Masai Mara to Nairobi – Final game drive and departure

On your final day, enjoy an early morning game drive to capture those last memorable wildlife moments. The Mara is known for its incredible variety of animals, and the morning is a great time to spot predators, such as lions and hyenas, before they retreat to the shade for the heat of the day. After breakfast, check out from Sarova Mara Game Camp and begin your drive back to Nairobi (approx. 5-6 hours). You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of an unforgettable safari experience.
