Baines’ River Camp is located in the Lower Zambezi valley and offers the ultimate combination of luxury and game viewing making it a great camp to complete a safari at. Our air conditioned rooms, wifi and signature Baines’ activities means you get to experience the best of the safari world in style and on your own term. This Package is bookable 60 days before date of travel.

Welcome to Baines River Camp

Welcome to Lower Zambezi On arrival at Royal Airstrip, you will be met by a representative from the lodge for a road transfer to the lodge where you will spend 5 nights. Relax by the pool as you watch animals wonder around the Zambezi River in front of you. No activities on day of arrival.

02Days 2–3

Days 2–3

A Classic Safari

An early start means an equally early wake-up call. We will serve a continental breakfast from about 6:00 am and at sunrise, you'll head off on your selected early morning activity. These early starts are generally the best times to spot the wildlife as the temperature is fresh and the animals are still very active. The evening game drive is often the best time to see the wildlife. The predatory animals begin to stir from their heat-of-the-day slumber, and similarly, their prey becomes ever more active and alert as darkness falls. The evenings are often rounded off with a few drinks around the bar or campfire swapping safari stories. You have 2 activities inside the park today. A choice of Game drives, walks, canoeing (weather dependent and subject to availability. To be confirmed in Camp), boat cruises and fishing in the National Park. NEW FOR 2025 * visits to Mugurameno School, Zambezi Harvest projects, and the Conservation Lower Zambezi Headquarters.
