Day 1

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

On the first day of your classic safari, your driver will meet you at the airport or the Nairobi Hotel and provide a brief overview of the entire safari. Then you'll embark on your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, which is approximately a 3-4-hour drive. You'll pass through the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and stop for photography and scenic views, which stretches from the Middle East in the north to Mozambique in the south. The area is geologically active, featuring volcanoes, hot springs, and geysers. You'll arrive in time for check-in and have lunch. You can catch a siesta or freshen up, then head to an afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. It's home to migratory flamingoes and about 350 other bird species. The park is also a haven for the endangered black and white rhino species. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 2

Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve

You will have an early morning breakfast, followed by a morning game drive at the park before exiting. Later, you'll leave Lake Nakuru for the Masai Mara, a 5-hour drive. Upon arrival at the Maasai Mara, you'll check in and enjoy a delicious lunch featuring both local and international cuisine. Then, embark on an afternoon game drive in the renowned reserve, famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration. With your expert guide, you'll have the opportunity to spot a diverse range of wildlife, including lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalo, cheetahs, and elephants. After an exhilarating day, return to Sarova Mara Camp for a hearty dinner and a comfortable overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

You'll enjoy your picnic lunch along the Mara River or the Masai Mara Savannah.
