Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pickup from Diani Beach, leaving the coastline behind as you journey inland toward Kenya’s iconic wilderness. The scenic drive takes you through changing landscapes, from coastal plains to open savannah, setting the tone for the days ahead. Upon arrival in Tsavo East National Park, you embark on your first game drive, where you may encounter the park’s famous red elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of plains game roaming freely across the vast terrain. After a rewarding wildlife experience, you continue toward Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, arriving in time to check in and relax. As the day winds down, you'll enjoy the unique atmosphere of the sanctuary, with opportunities to observe wildlife near the lodge before settling in for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by nature.

Full-Day Game Drives in Taita Hills & Tsavo East National Park

You wake up to the sounds of the African wilderness and enjoy an early morning game drive in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, when wildlife is most active, and the soft light enhances the landscape. You'll return to the lodge for breakfast before continuing with a relaxed mid-morning drive or leisure time to enjoy the lodge’s unique wildlife viewing points. Later, you proceed toward Tsavo East National Park for another rewarding game drive, exploring vast open plains, seasonal rivers, and diverse habitats. The day offers excellent chances to spot red elephants, lions, buffalo, and a wide variety of birdlife. As the sun sets over the savannah, you return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on a day rich in wildlife encounters and scenic beauty.

Day 3

Farewell to the Savannah, Return to the Coast

You begin your final safari day with an early morning game drive, taking advantage of the cool hours when predators and plains game are most active. This last exploration offers a chance to capture memorable sightings and photographs against the soft morning light. After the game drive, you return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. You then depart the wilderness and begin your scenic journey back toward the coast, arriving in Diani Beach with unforgettable memories of close-up wildlife encounters, dramatic landscapes, and the unique charm of Tsavo and Taita Hills.
