Our 3-day Explores Lodge safari is based in a small, simple, naturally luxurious, and authentic safari camp that pays homage to the days when exploring the African wilderness was a pioneering adventure. You'll enjoy guided morning and afternoon open-vehicle safari drives in the Big 5 Balule Private Game Reserve.

Johannesburg to the Balule Private Game Reserve

Day Includes: * Pick-up from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal at 7:00 am. * Guided afternoon safari drive. * Tented accommodation. Departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal at 7:00 am. You will travel east through the farmlands and onto the Kruger National Park. It’s a 5-6 hour drive from Johannesburg to Bundox Explores Lodge in the Balule Private Game reserve, and travel to the town of Hoedspruit with scheduled stops for bathroom breaks and leg stretches. You'll arrive mid-day in the Balule Private Game Reserve and book into the Bundox Explores Lodge. You'll enjoy a light meal and freshen up before departing late afternoon for a game drive on an open safari vehicle. Sundowners at a special vantage point.

Morning and Afternoon Open Vehicle Safari Drives

Day Includes: * Guided morning and afternoon safari drive. * Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. * Opportunity to see the Big Five. * Tented accommodation This is a glorious day relaxing at the camp, sandwiched between an early morning and late afternoon game drive with sundowners at a special vantage point. Safaris are conducted on the private Balule Game Reserve, offering a wonderful opportunity to spot the Big Five and other animals that inhabit the reserve. You'll enjoy a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Balule Private Game Reserve. You'll return for a hearty breakfast; relax around camp, bird watch at a hide, or join a ranger for a guided bush walk. You'll depart late afternoon for a sunset game drive.

Day 3

Morning Safari Drive and Return to Johannesburg

Day includes: * Morning Open vehicle safari drive. * Breakfast. * Transfer to the OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal arriving between 5:30 - 6:00 pm. You'll set off as the sun is rising for your last game drive in Balule Game Reserve. You'll enjoy a late breakfast on your return before checking out. You'll depart late morning for the return journey to Johannesburg. You'll arrive at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg late afternoon (approx 5:00 pm).
