Nairobi to Ol Pejeta

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport before heading north through Kenya's scenic central highlands, with views of Mount Kenya as you approach Nanyuki. Arrive at Sweetwaters Serena Camp in Ol Pejeta Conservancy in time for lunch and check into your luxury tent overlooking the camp's private waterhole, where elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife are frequent visitors. Later, set off on your first afternoon game drive through the conservancy, renowned for its exceptional wildlife density and home to the Big Five, including black and white rhinos, as well as lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants. Return to camp before sunset for dinner, then unwind while watching nocturnal animals gather at the floodlit waterhole from the camp's viewing area.

The Last Rhinos & the Big Five

Wake up to the sights and sounds of the African wilderness before setting out for a full day of wildlife viewing in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Your morning game drive takes you through diverse habitats where you may encounter lion prides, cheetahs, elusive leopards, elephants, buffalo, and both black and white rhinos. You can also choose to visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Kenya's only sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees, offering a unique conservation experience. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature before continuing your afternoon game drive in search of more incredible wildlife. Return to Sweetwaters Serena Camp in the evening for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Final Morning at Ol Pejeta

Enjoy your final morning at Sweetwaters Serena Camp with a relaxed breakfast overlooking the waterhole, where wildlife is often active in the cool morning hours. After checking out, begin your scenic drive back to Nairobi through Kenya's picturesque central highlands, with views of Mount Kenya along the way. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the city. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey. As your safari comes to an end, you'll leave with unforgettable memories of Ol Pejeta's remarkable wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and unique conservation experiences.
