Fly from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National park

Your 3 Day Luxury Fly-In Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari begins in Entebbe. After checking in for your domestic flight, take to the skies for a scenic journey toward southwestern Uganda. From the air, you can appreciate the country’s patchwork of farmland, hills, lakes and increasingly mountainous terrain as you approach the Bwindi region. Your arrival airstrip depends on the sector where your gorilla trekking permit and accommodation are booked. Common fly-in arrangements may use Kihihi Airstrip for northern Bwindi or Kisoro Airstrip for trekking areas farther south. A private representative will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your luxury lodge. Spend the afternoon relaxing in beautiful surroundings. Depending on your arrival time and lodge location, optional activities may include a community experience, guided nature walk or simply enjoying forest views from your lodge. Dinner and overnight near Bwindi.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today brings the experience you traveled to Uganda for. After an early breakfast, your private guide transfers you to the appropriate park briefing point. Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers explain trekking procedures, gorilla etiquette and essential safety guidelines before assigning visitors to habituated gorilla groups. You then enter the forest accompanied by professional trackers and guides. Gorilla trekking is a genuine wilderness experience. Your trek may involve steep slopes, dense vegetation, muddy trails and uneven terrain. The time required to locate the gorillas varies because they move freely through their natural habitat. Then comes the moment that makes every step worthwhile. Seeing a mountain gorilla in the wild can be profoundly moving. You may watch a powerful silverback resting nearby, juveniles playing through vegetation or adult females quietly feeding.

Fly from Bwindi to Entebbe

Enjoy breakfast at your lodge before your private transfer to the airstrip. Board your scheduled or charter flight back to Entebbe, where your three-day adventure concludes. Depending on flight schedules and your onward arrangements, your transfer to Entebbe International Airport or a hotel can be coordinated. This makes the itinerary particularly convenient for travelers connecting their Bwindi luxury gorilla safari with another East African destination.
