This private tour takes us to the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli National Park is known as the best place in Africa for getting up close to wild elephants. The sparse vegetation also provides excellent opportunities for viewing buffaloes, impalas, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. The birdlife is equally rich, especially in the park’s marshes and lakes.

Day 1

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park - Approx 250 km (5-hour drive)

Proceed to Amboseli National Park via the Nairobi-Mombasa Road. The morning drive is via a typical African savannah country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai herdsmen grazing their cattle. We arrive in time for lunch and later venture into the park for the scheduled afternoon game-viewing drive. You will spot the herds of elephants up close – a little wonder why the park is the best place in Africa to spot such herds. Amboseli is home to many other species such as Cape buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, spotted hyena, Maasai giraffe, zebra and blue wildebeest among others. The birdlife is also abundant with both large and small species. Weather permitting, Amboseli National Park offers a beautiful vista of the scenic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro which makes it a perfect site for photography. It is the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

02Day 2

Day 2

Amboseli National Park

Wake up to enjoy another day in Amboseli! With its reputation for active elephant sightings, it’s easy to spot them roaming the plains in the morning and evening. During the day, you can observe them splashing and foraging in Ol Okenya Swamp. We will also stop at the Observation Hill for the sprawling, breathtaking view of Amboseli. You may opt to have a full-day game drive or game drives in separate successions so that you can also enjoy the lodge's facilities. The driver-guide will be readily available to discuss your daily activities as per your preferences, including an optional visit to a Maasai village (at an extra cost). Every safari can be customized according to your wishes, likes and expectations. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

03Day 3

Day 3

Amboseli National Park to Nairobi - Approx 250 km (5-hour drive)

On this last day of your tour, after an early breakfast, you will check out and have an enroute morning game-viewing drive as you exit the park. Proceed to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or the airport for your onward flight.
