Day 1

Cape Town to Kruger

Arrive via Hoedspruit Airport or road transfer from Johannesburg. Check into your safari tent or chalet, enjoy welcome drinks, and a light lunch. At 15:30, go on an afternoon game drive. Set off from Kwa Mbili for your first Big 5 safari. Enjoy sundowners in the bush before transitioning into early night-time viewing. Return to the lodge for a boma dinner under the African sky. Overnight: Kwa Mbili Safari Lodge Meals: Dinner.

02Day 2

Day 2

Greater Kruger National Park

Wake before sunrise for coffee and rusks, then set off on your early-morning safari when predators are most active. Capture stunning photos as the golden light spills across the savannah. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and some leisure time. Relax at the pool deck, unwind with a spa treatment, or simply watch wildlife wandering past your suite. After lunch and high tea, embark on your second game drive. As the day cools, animals emerge to drink — the perfect chance to see herds of buffalo, rhinos, and elephants. Pause for sundowners in the bush, then continue your drive with a spotlight, revealing nocturnal animals like civets, genets, and hyenas. Dinner is served around a fire, with fine South African wine and authentic bushveld cuisine.

03Day 3

Day 3

Kruger to Cape Town

Rise for your final sunrise game drive, perhaps catching a last glimpse of lions or the elusive leopard. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast back at the lodge and some time to soak in the scenery before check-out. After breakfast, transfer back to Hoedspruit Airport for your return flight to Johannesburg or Cape Town — ending your unforgettable Thornybush safari.
