Day 1

Mombasa to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

The guide will pick you up from your beach hotel at 7:00am. You will depart by road to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, enjoying a scenic game drive along the way. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will have lunch and take some time to relax before heading out for another game drive in the sanctuary, where you will search for lions and other wildlife. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and spend the night at Salt Lick Safari Lodge. Salt Lick Safari Lodge is particularly memorable for its imaginative design. A complex of rondavels is elevated on stilts above a series of waterholes. These two-story towers, topped with peaked thatch roofs and connected by open-air bridges, create an enchanting atmosphere reminiscent of a medieval fortress. The lodge has been designed with game viewing in mind, providing a panoramic view of the sanctuary and offering spectacular vistas of the landscape and wildlife.

Day 2

Salt Lick Safari Lodge to Mombasa or Diani

Start your day with a hot breakfast at the lodge, then head out for a half-day game drive. On a good morning, you can see many animals at the sanctuary. Around noon, leave the park and travel to Mombasa, where you will be dropped off at your hotel in Mombasa or Diani.
