Day 1

Johannesburg to Hoedspruit

Guests fly into Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport from Johannesburg. We will also meet you at Eastgate for transportation to and from Kapama Game Reserve. After a light meal and some time to clean up, you will go on a game drive deep within the reserve with your guide and spotter. Along the route, you will pull over for a drink and some fresh air as the sun sets behind the Drakensberg Mountains. The nocturnal animals of the jungle emerge as dusk approaches. A variety of unique species may be noticed on the way back to the resort at night. The skilled tracker will sweep the landscape with a flashlight that illuminates animal eyes. Arrival at the lodge is usually around 19:00, in time for a delicious lunch. Your accommodation is provided at the exclusive Kapama Karula Lodge.
