Judge the land before the thread count
Two lodges can photograph identically and deliver completely different safaris. The one that matters has thousands of hectares of traversing, permission to leave the road when the tracker finds fresh spoor, and a reserve rule of two or three vehicles per sighting so you watch the leopard, not a queue.
Ask about the guide-and-tracker team, too. The best reserves pair every vehicle with both, and guides who have worked the same land for a decade will find you things a new arrival simply cannot.

Are luxury safari lodges all-inclusive?
Usually meals and twice-daily game drives, often house drinks. Premium wines, spa treatments, private vehicles, transfers and conservation levies are commonly extra — we confirm the exact inclusions before you book, because two lodges quoting the same rate rarely include the same things.
