Overview
Ufumene measures 8000 hectares. It straddles both sides of a valley in the mountains that separate the wet coastal plains of the Eastern Cape from the arid Karoo.
Its flood plains are 300 m above sea level, the high plateaus rise to 500 m.
We strive to be the premier destination where adventure and artistry unite, offering unforgettable hunting and photographic safari experiences that celebrate the beauty of nature and promote sustainable wildlife conservation
Lodge life mostly happens on the large covered veranda, furnished with sofas, chairs and tables, and a summer kitchen and dining area. A refreshing swim in the pool is only a few steps away.
On cold days, life moves indoors to the open plan hall that includes a kitchen, dining room and lounge with an open fireplace. The bar area has a pool table that can be used by guests to battle out their strengths
We offer our guests a choice of cuisines. Besides a good venison braai and other hearty dishes from South Africa, France and Italy
