Senalala Safari Lodge is an ALL-INCLUSIVE lodge situated in the heart of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, providing guests with an authentic South African safari experience, combining Africa’s abundant wildlife and inspiring natural setting with stylish facilities and exceptional service.
Ideal for visitors looking for a shared lifetime experience, special events, or a family gathering, Senalala offers its guests an atmosphere of simple luxury a world apart from everyday life.
A stay at Senalala includes twice-daily game drives, all meals, a diverse selection of South African wines, beers, selected spirits (both domestic and imported), soft drinks & hot beverages. Serving meals buffet style and having drinks available throughout the day on a self-help basis from the main lounge area, Senalala creates a relaxed atmosphere where guests can enjoy their safari, feeling like it is their home-away-from-home.
Senalala accommodates up to 12 people in six spacious, air-conditioned, king- and twin chalets. For exclusive group bookings, we can expand to 16 people.
The chalets are decorated in a stylish and simplistic style, reflecting the surrounding bush. All suites are the same size and style, and all have a view to the watering hole. The bathrooms are spacious with a creative natural finish.
Our lodge is completely off the grid and powered 100% by solar energy, offering you a seamless and eco-conscious experience in the heart of the wilderness. By choosing to stay with us, you're supporting sustainable tourism and helping to protect the environment without sacrificing comfort or luxury.

What you can do
Game Drives
Your stay includes two game drives each day: an early morning safari departing around sunrise, and an afternoon drive that transitions into an early evening night drive as you return to the lodge. Each game drive lasts approximately 3 hours, offering ample time to explore the wilderness and encounter a variety of wildlife.
Walking Safaris
Guided by a qualified and experienced guide, guests have the option to enjoy a walking safari in place of a game drive. These walks typically last between 2 to 2.5 hours and focus on the smaller, often-overlooked details of the bush - such as animal tracks, signs, plants, and insects - offering a deeper and more intimate connection with the natural environment.
Wilderness skills Course
Senalala Safari Lodge now offers an exclusive Wilderness skills Course, with the emphasis on bushcraft and survival. Offered by James Steyn, highly experienced guide and FGASA Scout. This immersive course focuses on essential wilderness survival techniques, including shelter building, water procurement, fire craft, natural navigation and tool use - blending traditional bushcraft knowledge with real African bush experience.
