Set within the vast wilderness of the privately owned Etosha Heights Private Reserve, Safarihoek Lodge offers a peaceful safari experience on the edge of one of Namibia’s most iconic wildlife areas, Etosha National Park.
Overlooking a productive waterhole and sweeping savannah plains, the lodge is perfectly positioned for exceptional wildlife viewing in a quiet and uncrowded setting.
Built from natural stone and thatch, Safarihoek blends comfortably into the surrounding landscape while offering spacious and relaxed accommodation. The lodge’s elevated position provides expansive views across the reserve, where wildlife frequently gathers at the waterhole below.
Game drives take place within Etosha Heights Private Reserve, a former hunting concession that has been carefully restored to a thriving conservation area. This vast private reserve supports healthy populations of plains game, predators and both black and white rhino, offering rewarding wildlife encounters away from the Etosha crowds.

Bush meals and picnics can be arranged with prior notice.
Enjoy a lovely meal away from the lodge in the bush or hide. Weather permitting.
Game Drives
Morning and afternoon game drives on the reserve are offered and can be booked beforehand or as the need arises while at the lodge. A 2-3-hour drive that gives you the opportunity to see anything from a wide variety of plains game or if you are lucky a run in with the occasional predator. Refreshments are included.
Guided Walks
Guided walks are offered to the more adventurous. A short drive out, and then the fun starts as you experience a whole new way of finding and viewing animals. Be sure to follow every instruction your guide gives you and you will have a great time. Children aged 12 years and over may take part in a walking safari.
Night Drives (on request)
After an early dinner and depending on the weather we also offer night drives on the reserve. Different from day game drives by that you stand a chance to see some of the nocturnal species that roam our reserve. We look for all of them, from bugs to birds and maybe something bigger.
Photographic Hide
Keen on birding? We offer you the opportunity to spend some time in our hide, especially build for photography enthusiast or if you just want to go through the different species. Other than that we could take you on a short walk or to some of the other nearby waterholes.

If you are in need of some serious time out, then one of our spa treatments is your perfect escape. Our professional therapist will put you in seventh heaven.
