Camp Okavango
Overview
Botswana’s Okavango Delta, a World Heritage Site, is the planet's largest inland delta—a vast labyrinth of life-filled lagoons, expansive lakes, and winding channels.
Amid this wild magic is Desert & Delta Safaris' Camp Okavango, a remote treasure situated on Nxaragha Island. Here, an unparalleled, water-based wilderness experience awaits, available year-round.
A deep connection with nature is fostered with mindfully guided activities such as Motorboat Safaris, Walking Safaris, Mokoro (traditional canoe) Safaris and more. Within this award-winning camp, luxury and exceptional service are masterfully blended. The result is an unforgettable journey—crafted with intent and delivered with soul.
Camp Okavango echoes the Delta with a network of interconnected walkways that link two lounge areas, a dining room, library, bar, and curio shop. Expansive ramps descend to the lower deck, where two open-air fire pits and inviting seating areas provide the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the unobstructed views. A third deck features a rim-flow swimming pool and a thatched lounge deck, ideal for relaxing on warm days.
To provide an authentic and tranquil safari experience, Camp Okavango hosts just twenty-four guests. There are eleven Safari Suites and one Family Suite, each featuring en-suite bathrooms. All suites are raised on wooden platforms, complete with private, open-air viewing decks set within the Delta’s lush vegetation, ensuring both privacy and consistent Delta vistas.
Camp Okavango is an eco-conscious camp that truly captures the essence of the Okavango Delta.
