All bedrooms include an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower and double vanity units. All beds can be converted into twin beds, a TV is in every room as well as a fully stocked minibar. Heating and air conditioning is provided in all bedrooms.

Loft Suite

The Loft suite is the only room on the top floor of the Manor House. It has a large en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower and French doors that lead you onto your own private terrace with panoramic views of the Klein Dassenberg mountain range. The bedroom has its own living area and has plenty of wardrobe space too.

Viognier Room

Located in a standalone building adjacent to the main Manor House building, the terrace is perfectly situated to soak up the vineyard and mountain views. The room includes a dressing table, living area and en-suite bathroom. The shower has been cleverly designed to convert into an outdoor or indoor shower depending on your preference!

Chardonnay Room 1

Located downstairs, this room includes its own terrace. The room has views to the front and side of the Manor House, which means there is plenty of sunlight flooding into this spacious double bedroom.

Chardonnay Room 2

A beautifully appointed bedroom with mini bar and en-suite bathroom.

Bunk Room

The bunk room has two double beds, two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. French doors lead onto the front of the property.

The Manor House is a beautiful four bedroom villa which can be booked for exclusive use and is ideal for families as children can stay in the bunk room. The bunk room has two double beds and two single beds that can sleep up to six children. It even has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.

Babysitting can be arranged and a charge will apply but please advise at the time of booking if this may be required. Special food and beverages or simple snacks and light meals can be prepared according to your child’s tastes.

Swimming Pool

Take a dip and relax in the main outdoor heated swimming pool at Mont Rochelle – there are some fantastic views of the Franschhoek mountains. Bar service and fresh towels are available around the pool.

Spa Treatments

What could be more relaxing than a spa treatment during your stay? Mont Rochelle has two dedicated spa treatment rooms as well as a Hammam. We use the eco-friendly Africology ‘Authentic’ range of products which are made from 100% essential oils and natural plant extracts. Resident guests are welcome to make use of the Hammam at their leisure as long as it’s not in use for a scheduled treatment.

Walk into Franschhoek

Take a 15-20 minute walk from the property and go exploring in Franschhoek, a traditional small town known for its beauty. It has lots to do and see including interior design boutiques, craft shops, patisseries, lovely restaurants, art galleries and museums. If you are laden down with shopping, we run a complimentary transfer service between Mont Rochelle and Franschhoek at set times of the day for lunchtime and evening visits. Outside of these times transfers and pick ups will be charged additionally.

Franschhoek Wine Tram

A great way to discover the Franschhoek Valley is by the famous wine tram! This is a hop-on, hop-off service offering picturesque vineyards, beautiful scenery, fine wines, and world class cuisine as you travel. Here guests will have the chance to visit some of South Africa’s oldest and most distinguished wine estates travelling on an open air tram. Mont Rochelle is a stop on one of the Wine Tram routes, so guests can book the other route to sample more of the area’s vineyards

Gym

For the active types our gym is available between 6am and 10pm every day. There are two treadmills, bikes, an adjustable bench and suspension training pack, dual adjustable pulley and a multipower machine, set of free weights and a body ball.

Biking

There are some wonderful routes that make it easy to explore the surrounding area on bike. We can arrange bike rental with a local company, just let us know and we can book these for you. (Additional costs will apply).

Tennis

It’s game, set and match to our floodlit Astroturf tennis court when it comes to scenic places to play tennis. As well as the view, racquets and balls are provided and it comes complete with a cabana, kitchen and bathroom.

Lawn Games

There are plenty of lawn games that you can play whilst taking in the stunning views. Anyone for chess?

Hiking

Enjoy a hike through the hills, valleys and vineyards surrounding the hotel, as well as in local nature reserves. The Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve on the opposite side of the valley offers superb views of the wine valley and on a clear day you can even see Table Mountain and the ocean! The walks vary in length from 3 to 8 hours and are of moderate intensity. You will need to acquire a 1 day permit that costs R50 per person and a map that costs R20. You are welcome to take walks through our farm and our only request is that you stay on the walkways, to preserve the fragile vines that produce our splendid wines.

Golf

South Africa is known for the high standard of its many golf courses. The hotel can arrange tee-off times for you. Booking is vital during the summer season in order to avoid disappointment.
