Suite on the ground floor with private deck

Each room can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults sharing with 1 child, subject to availability of rooms with sleeper couches. Four pairs of rooms at Gondwana Family Lodge are inter-leading.

There are several options of rooms available at Gondwana Family Lodge:

Explorer Camp

The Explorer Camp offers three canvas tents that can sleep a maximum of two people each. The tents are placed in fairly close proximity to one another, without encroaching on the privacy of the other tents. Wild animals are able to move through the camp at any time and although all safety precautions have been followed in setting up the camp; this remains a reality.

Each tent includes the following amenities:

2 x stretcher beds with sheets, duvets, and pillows
En-suite facilities are available on request with bucket shower, chemical toilet, and canvas basin.
1 x Hammock nestled away under an ancient Schotia tree
Guest amenities include insect repellent, towels, sanitary bags, as well as biodegradable shower gel and shampoo.

Cap Classique Suite

Guests staying in our two largest rooms, our Cap Classique Suites, will enjoy a separate lounge area, a private terrace and their own plunge pool. Both suites are in the Vineyard Wing.

Cabernet Room

The six Cabernet Rooms are located in the Vineyard Wing and all include a private terrace overlooking the valley.

Pinotage Suite

There are four spacious Pinotage Suites located in both the Manor Wing and Garden Wing, each of which features a separate lounge and fantastic views.

Merlot Room

Our six Merlot Rooms are larger than our Shiraz Rooms and also boast king-size beds with valley views.

Shiraz Room

There are four Shiraz Rooms with king-size beds and all feature courtyard or valley views.

Cliff Lodge 2

A spacious one bedroom suite accommodating up to 2 adults and 2 children on 2 small pull out beds. Cliff Lodge 2 offers a spacious lounge with fireplace, separate kitchen and bar and also features a small spa, gym and an outdoor deck with a large pool.

Cliff Lodge 1 (as triple)

A luxurious two bedroom suite accommodating up to 3 adults with one large bedroom and a second smaller bedroom. Cliff Lodge 1 offers a spacious lounge with fireplace, separate kitchen and bar and also features a mini spa, gym and an outdoor deck with a large pool.

Cliff Lodge 1
