The villa extends via boardwalk under the riverine trees adjoining two en-suite 85 square meter bedrooms, separated by a large living and dining area. The heated rim-flow pool adorning the deck has become a popular stopover for many Kruger elephants seeking an alternative freshwater source on their foraging festivals along the Timbavati river!

Tactfully situated alongside a busy elephant trail and nestled amongst the Combretum trees on the elevated banks of the Timbavati River, the new and spacious 100 square meter Honeymoon Suite at The River Lodge surpasses all expectations! Natural light filters through the shadows cast by the Magic Guarris trees rooted within the teak deck; home to an infinity swimming pool that can be heated for use on cold winter nights. An indoor fireplace adds to the romantic ambiance of the suite, which offers all the luxuries of the others; just more-so!

Stackable doors welcome the African bushveld in, affording a magical wildlife experience from the comfort of an extra length king-size bed or the indoor lounge area.
With infinite views of the perennial Timbavati River; game viewing can also be enjoyed from the luxury of an exclusive decked terrace, skinny dipping in a private sparkling pool whilst sipping on a gin-tail!
Bask in a newfound romance at bath time! The stacking doors enclosing a foam-filled Victorian bath-tub can be opened, allowing your imagination to run wild, captivated by the glorious vista of an African star-lit night-sky.
Alternatively enjoy an indoor or exterior shower; absorbing the sights and sounds of untamed Africa.
Facilities and Amenities:
The Leadwood Villa was custom built for families and large groups, accommodating a maximum of six adults and three children across four suites.
The communal spaces are perfect for spending quality time together in the privacy of your own lodge, and include a central lounge, dining area, kitchen, private deck, fire pit, lawned garden area and large pool. That’s 230m² of space for exclusive use for guests in the Villa!
It also includes a private game drive vehicle with guide and tracker. Meals can also be cooked by a dedicated chef and served at the villa, granting a further level of privacy.
The eight suites, with elevated views of the riverbed, are ultra-spacious safari tents on permanent foundations. Glass doors open up onto your own extensive private deck and pool, complete with sun loungers and chairs. In a private corner, there’s also an outdoor shower with bush views.
Attention to detail is present wherever you look, a great example of this is the fabric of the interior canvas, designed exclusively for Saseka, with prints from the herbarium in Pretoria of all the region’s plants.
The intelligent lighting of the tented suites is also an impressive feature. The suites allow the sounds of the bush to filter in to give you a truly immersed safari experience.
Each suite is generous in size with a sitting area, dressing room and en-suite bathroom.
The Family Suite has two adjoining suites, ideal for a family holiday. Planned in a similar fashion to the other suites, the Family Suite has both inside and outside showers, as well as a large bath.
The private veranda allows for some casual game-viewing or a perfect place to relax between game drives. The classic safari decor adds a bit of local flair to the chalet-style suites, which are all en-suite and come with comfortable, modern furnishings.
The thatched suites have a home-away-from-home feel, allowing guests space and privacy while also being close to the lodge’s main area.

The suites are spaced relatively far apart from each other, creating a sense of privacy for our guests.
Each suite has a sliding door that opens out onto a private deck with sofa chairs, which is where many of our guests are drawn to throughout the day.
The interiors are spacious with high thatched ceilings, large beds and en-suite bathrooms. There’s an outside shower that offers a revitalising experience with a view, as well as an inside shower and a bath.
